Kosi Chamber of Commerce Welcomes GST Amendments “Heartfelt thanks to the Prime Minister and Finance Minister for providing relief to the common people” – Vivek Vishal Kosi Zone, Saharsa. The Kosi Chamber of Commerce has warmly welcomed the recent amendments made by the Central Government in the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Terming it as a major relief for the general public as well as the business community, the Chamber’s General Secretary, Vivek Vishal, expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He said that the government has seriously considered the demands and feedback of various trade organizations across the country and has taken several far-reaching decisions in the meetings of the GST Council. Vivek Vishal especially praised the measures such as exemptions for small and medium traders, simplification of compliance procedures, and reduction in tax rates on essential commodities.
