Kosi Chamber of Commerce Welcomes GST Amendments
“Heartfelt thanks to the Prime Minister and Finance Minister for providing relief to the common people” – Vivek Vishal
Kosi Zone, Saharsa. The Kosi Chamber of Commerce has warmly welcomed the recent amendments made by the Central Government in the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Terming it as a major relief for the general public as well as the business community, the Chamber’s General Secretary, Vivek Vishal, expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He said that the government has seriously considered the demands and feedback of various trade organizations across the country and has taken several far-reaching decisions in the meetings of the GST Council.
Vivek Vishal especially praised the measures such as exemptions for small and medium traders, simplification of compliance procedures, and reduction in tax rates on essential commodities. He said, “These steps reflect that the government understands the challenges of both traders and consumers. The amendments will make doing business easier and give a boost to the economy.”
It is worth noting that the present Central Government has been consistently working towards promoting “Ease of Doing Business,” making the tax system transparent through Digital India, and encouraging local production under the Make in India initiative. The government believes that a simple and efficient tax regime will not only strengthen the trust of traders but also create opportunities for employment and investment.
The Kosi Chamber of Commerce stated that these changes will promote business activities and provide relief to entrepreneurs in both rural and urban areas. Consumers will also benefit by getting essential goods at cheaper rates. The Chamber expressed confidence that this initiative will make the GST system more transparent, reliable, and user-friendly.
In conclusion, the Chamber thanked the government and affirmed that the business community will continue to work shoulder to shoulder with the government in the future, to make the tax system more public-friendly and development-oriented.
