Child Marriages Prevented in Saharsa as Awareness Campaign Gains Momentum Koshi Zone, Saharsa: An awareness campaign led by the "District Hub for Empowerment of Women" in collaboration with the One Stop Center, both operated under the Women and Child Development Corporation, Government of Bihar, is actively working to prevent child marriages across the district. As a result of the initiative, two underage marriage cases have recently been stopped, averting serious social violations. Two Cases of Child Marriage Averted The first incident occurred on May 5, 2025, in Bishanpur village under Sattar Katiya block, where a 15-year-old girl was being prepared for marriage. Police Achieves Major Success in Saharsa: Wanted Criminal Prince Kumar Arrested In a significant breakthrough, the Saharsa district police, in a joint operation with Patarghat Police Station, Pastpar Police Station, and Bihar STF Patna, have arrested a long-absconding criminal, Prince Kumar alias Gajendra Yadav.
