Most Wanted Criminal with ₹25,000 Bounty Arrested in Naugachia
Koshi Zone, Saharsa – A most-wanted criminal carrying a bounty of ₹25,000, Bechan Yadav, has been arrested from the Bhawanipur police station area. He was wanted in connection with several serious crimes including murder, robbery, and attacks on police personnel in Saharsa and Madhepura districts.
The joint operation was conducted by the Patna STF, Saur Bazar Police, and Bhawanipur Police. Cyber DSP Ajit Kumar informed in a press briefing on Monday that a special team was formed after Patna STF and police officials from Baijnathpur and Bhawanipur received intelligence reports indicating the presence of Bechan Yadav in the area.
Acting swiftly on the tip-off, the special investigation team launched a raid and arrested Bechan Yadav from Khajuri village, Ward No. 6. He is the son of Maheshwar Yadav.
Bechan Yadav is accused in four serious criminal cases across Saharsa and Madhepura districts, including:
Saur Bazar Police Station (Baijnathpur OP): Case Nos. 785/23 and 184/22
Ghailadh Police Station, Madhepura: Case Nos. 370/22 and 1213/24
These cases involve charges under the Arms Act, murder, robbery, and assault on police.
The raid team included Baijnathpur Police Station in-charge Chandrajeet Prabhakar, Sub-Inspector Dinesh Thakur, Bhawanipur Police personnel, and officials from the Patna STF.
This successful arrest has brought a sense of relief to the local administration and the residents of the area.
