Udaan Scheme Gains Momentum: Six New Airports to Be Constructed in Bihar Koshi Zone, Saharsa – Under the ambitious Udaan scheme by the Government of India, six new airports are set to be constructed in Bihar to provide air travel facilities to the general public. These airports will be built in Saharsa, Supaul, Munger, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, and Valmikinagar. As part of this initiative, a team from the Airports Authority of India visited the Saharsa airport site on Saturday to conduct an inspection. The team included DGM S.N. Thakur, S.M. Kamal, Operations In-charge Sunil Kumar, Architect Sarvoch Kumar, and ATM Praveen Unnikrishnan. Officials stated that the inspection report will be submitted to higher authorities within 15 days. During the inspection, the team expressed concern over a tall building—belonging to the court—located on the eastern side of the airport premises, citing it as an obstruction to free visibility.
