Brutal Incident in Forbesganj, Bihar: Youth Slits Throat in Broad Daylight; Minor Dispute Turns Fatal, Two Dead, Tension Grips Area

Koshi Zone: A shocking incident occurred on Thursday morning near Marketing Yard Gate No. 2 under Forbesganj police station area in Araria district, Bihar, where a minor dispute escalated into a gruesome double murder.

According to reports, around 10 AM, an argument broke out between a sattu vendor and an auto-rickshaw driver. The situation quickly spiraled out of control when the enraged vendor allegedly attacked the driver with a knife, slitting his throat. The victim died on the spot due to the severity of the injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Mohammad Nabi Hussain, son of Mohammad Moinuddin, a resident of Ward No. 21 under Jogbani police station area.

Following the incident, a large crowd gathered at the spot. Enraged locals caught hold of the accused and brutally assaulted him. The mob beat him to death on the spot, leading to a second fatality in the incident.

The double murder triggered panic and chaos in the area. Angry protesters blocked the road near Subhash Chowk and set fire to objects, further escalating tensions.

Upon receiving information, heavy police forces rushed to the scene and began efforts to bring the situation under control. Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Mukesh Kumar Saha confirmed the death of one person and stated that details regarding the second deceased are being verified. He assured that a thorough investigation is underway and strict action will be taken against those responsible.

At present, the situation remains tense. Police personnel have been deployed in large numbers, and additional security forces have been stationed to prevent any untoward incidents. Authorities are continuously monitoring the situation and appealing to the public to maintain peace.

This tragic incident highlights how minor disputes can escalate into severe violence if not handled calmly.
