Saharsa’s Shraddha Shri Charms ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ Stage with Her Melodious Voice
Kosi Zone: Emerging singer Shraddha Shri from Saharsa is steadily making her mark at the national level with her remarkable singing talent. Shraddha has secured her place among the final 12 contestants of the popular music reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ after delivering an impressive performance on the show.
In the episode telecast on Sunday, Shraddha’s powerful and melodious performance won appreciation from the show’s judges, including renowned playback singers Kumar Sanu, Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Ali and Neeti Mohan, besides earning applause from the audience.
Hailing from a family with a rich musical legacy, Shraddha Shri developed a passion for singing from an early age and made music her goal. Her talent has previously been showcased on several prestigious platforms. She won the reputed i-Genius competition, where she received an award from renowned music composer Salim. Following this achievement, she also recorded a music album in Singapore under a professional contract.
Shraddha is the granddaughter of Bhrigunandan Thakur, a retired Agriculture Department employee and resident of New Colony, Saharsa. Her musical roots run deep in the family. Her maternal grandfather, Shri Bhagwat Mishra ‘Viyogi’, served as a renowned singer in the Information and Public Relations Department of the Bihar Government. Her maternal aunt, Ranjana Jha, is also a well-known singer from Bihar.

Her uncles Sanjay Thakur and Hemant Thakur have also been associated with music. Shraddha had earlier showcased her talent on the reality show ‘Hindustan Ke Hunarbaz’, which was broadcast on Life OK in 2012.
Other members of her family, including Amritraj Thakur and Nikhil Thakur, have performed on stages in India and abroad, while her paternal uncle-in-law Govind Prasann Saraswati is a noted music composer.
Shraddha is the daughter of Raj Kumar Thakur and Vandana Thakur. Her mother, Vandana Thakur, is a music teacher at a reputed school in Delhi and has played a significant role in nurturing and refining Shraddha’s musical talent.
A graduate in English from Delhi University, Shraddha currently lives in Delhi and continues to perform on stages in India and abroad. Having emerged from a relatively small city like Saharsa and reached a prestigious national platform, Shraddha’s journey has generated considerable enthusiasm among people across the Kosi and Mithilanchal regions.
